Hardware constraints

• The I/O device makes use of a microcontroller that runs the code implementing the USB protocol

• To save money, we selected a OTP (One Time Programming) to do this job

• A second simpler microprocessor that makes use of EEPROM decodes the signals coming out of the remote control

• This choice is based on economical reasons
